Brief discussion on the application of ERP in printing enterprises

the competition of market economy and the challenge of global economic integration make the decision-makers of Chinese printing enterprises have to soberly face the increasingly severe reality: first, the management mode of Chinese printing enterprises has not really completed the transformation from planned economy to market economy, and some customary practices and concepts under planned economy are still playing a subtle role, which seriously hinders innovation and development, At the same time, it greatly affects the competitiveness of enterprises. Secondly, printing enterprises have shifted from the seller's market to the buyer's market. If enterprises want to gain a foothold in the market, they must provide 13 Power supply voltage: 220V for higher quality products and personalized services. Thirdly, after China's entry into the WTO, the traditional organization and management mode of Chinese printing enterprises is production led rather than customer led, lacking innovation consciousness. Today, when it is emphasized that the diversification of enterprise market demand has high flexibility, the traditional management mode appears very rigid. The change of market has become the fundamental reason for the change of enterprise management mode, and enterprise information engineering has become an arrow on the string

erp (Enterprise Resources Planning) originates from production and operation management activities, and has been continuously improved and improved in a wide range of application practices. The application of ERP is to effectively promote enterprise management towards more scientific. With the development of rationalization and standardization, whoever can grasp and apply ERP in time can quickly change the backward situation of management through management innovation, narrow the management level gap with industrial developed countries, and improve his competitiveness, survival ability and development ability in the global competition in the 21st century. This paper mainly discusses the application of ERP in printing enterprises from the two basic points of production management and logistics management

erp concept and its development process

1 ERP is the abbreviation of enterprise resources planning, which is translated as enterprise resource planning. Enterprise resource planning system (ERP) is a management platform based on information technology, which provides decision-making and operation means for enterprise decision-makers and employees with systematic management ideas. We can define it from three levels: management idea, software product and management system:

first, a set of enterprise management system standards proposed by Garter Group Inc., a famous computer technology consulting and evaluation group in the United States. Its essence is a supply chain oriented management idea further developed on the basis of MRP II (Manufacturing Resources Planning)

second, it is a software product that comprehensively applies the achievements of information industry such as client/server system, relational database structure, object-oriented technology, graphical user interface, fourth generation language (4GL), network communication, and takes ERP management thought as the soul

third, the enterprise resource management system integrates enterprise management concepts, business processes, basic data, human and material resources, computer hardware and software. Its conceptual hierarchy is shown in Figure 1

2. The development process of ERP

from the perspective of ERP management thought, ERP has experienced the following development process, as shown in Figure 2

the basic tasks of MRP are: ① derive the demand quantity and demand time (related demand) of relevant materials (raw materials, parts, etc.) from the production plan (independent demand) of the final product; ② The time of starting production (ordering) is determined according to the demand time and production (ordering) cycle of the material. The basic content of MRP is to prepare the production plan and purchase plan of parts

in addition to material demand planning, the closed-loop MRP system also integrates production capacity demand planning, workshop operation planning and purchase operation planning into MRP, forming a closed system

in the 1980s, people integrated production, finance, sales, engineering technology, procurement and other subsystems into an integrated system, which is called manufacturing resource planning system. The English abbreviation is MRP. In order to distinguish logistics demand planning (also abbreviated as MRP), it is recorded as MRP II. The basic idea of MRP II is to take the enterprise as an organic whole, and from the perspective of overall optimization, effectively plan, organize and control various manufacturing resources and all links of production, supply, marketing and finance by using scientific methods, so that they can get 1. All system cables need to take protective measures such as rat bite prevention to coordinate development and give full play to their role. MRP Ⅱ is a relatively complete production and operation management planning system and an effective management mode to realize the overall benefits of manufacturing enterprises

from the perspective of IT technology, the development of ERP itself has basically experienced three stages. The universality, sharing and interactivity of interconnection have changed people's lives, as well as the business environment. Facing the huge external information and rapid changes, enterprises must shift from the traditional focus on the management and utilization of internal resources to the management and utilization of external resources, and from business integration within enterprises to business collaboration among enterprises. Therefore, the new generation of ERP products are extending to the client and the supply side. The extension of the client is customer relationship management, while the extension of the supply side is the synchronous management of cross enterprise supply chain. These two extensions are just embedded in the above electronic transactions, thus forming a complete e-commerce solution from the inside to the outside of the enterprise

3. ERP and supply chain management

supply chain is also called supply chain or supply and marketing chain, but in essence it contains the meaning of "supply" and "demand", which can be understood as supply chain. The application of SCM (Supply Chain Management) is developed on the basis of ERP (enterprise resource plan). It integrates the company's manufacturing process, inventory management system and the data generated by suppliers, and includes resources, procurement, product design, production planning, material management, order processing, inventory management, transportation The whole business process of warehousing management and customer service is managed, so that all links of production, marketing and service are managed uniformly, and all product related activities are involved in the process from raw materials to end users

there are three flows in the supply chain: logistics, capital flow and information flow. Among them, logistics flows from upstream to downstream, capital flows from downstream to upstream, and information flows in both directions. These three flows run through all activities of the enterprise. Figure 4 illustrates the schematic diagram of the supply chain. The whole supply chain management framework is shown in Figure 5

4. ERP and customer relationship management

customer relationship management is the abbreviation of customer relationship management, or CRM for short. In most ERP products, sales, marketing and other aspects of management are included. CRM products focus on sales, marketing, customer service and support, which are further than ERP. The application of ERP can improve the efficiency of enterprise operation. CRM strives to reduce sales links, reduce sales costs, discover new markets and channels, and improve customer value, customer satisfaction, and customer profits through the interaction between management and customers. In 2002 and 2003, gombate developed the patent contribution and customer loyalty of reflex to achieve the improvement of the final effect. In fact, the value of CRM lies in highlighting the importance of sales management, marketing management, customer service and support, which can be regarded as a part of generalized ERP, and the two should be able to form a seamless closed-loop system

the necessary line for enterprises to implement ERP

the business objectives pursued by any enterprise can be explained in two sentences: the best customer service level, the least input, but the operation of the machine in many times and the highest output. In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to make effective and full use of all kinds of resources owned by enterprises, that is, to plan and control resources. The so-called enterprise resources mainly refer to the seven resources of people, finance, materials, technology, equipment, information and time. The good or bad use of these resources will directly affect the business effect of enterprises, which also highlights the necessity of implementing ERP in enterprises

1. At present, there are common problems in the management of printing enterprises

in recent decades, the printing industry has developed very rapidly, and the competition is also very fierce. At the same time, the profit space of enterprises is getting smaller and smaller, and the management is difficult to keep up. The following are common problems in the management of the printing industry:

business department: it is difficult to check the order after losing the order, the quotation is cumbersome and time-consuming, the salesperson loses the customer, and it is difficult for novices to start

production management department: ordering is slow and easy to make mistakes, it is difficult to arrange orders, it is difficult to coordinate with various departments, and the production situation cannot be understood in real time

production workshop: it is difficult to assess the working hours of workers, the statistical data are inaccurate, the human intervention is large, and the workers have great opinions

warehouse department: inaccurate data, difficult statistics, difficult warehouse entry and exit control, and delayed delivery; Inventory is difficult

financial department: it is difficult to manage current accounts, slow capital withdrawal, difficult cost accounting, and difficult to issue statements

enterprise decision makers: it is difficult to understand the business status, the labor cost is high, and it is difficult to go out to understand the situation; It is difficult to work in different places

2. Modern printing enterprise production management

modern printing enterprise management includes sales management, supply management, inventory management, material demand planning management, production management, quality management, financial management, personnel and wage management, equipment comprehensive management, information management, customer resource management, etc. This paper focuses on the application of ERP production management and logistics management system

the production management process of modern printing enterprises consists of the following five elements:

① plan: managers establish organizational goals and formulate procedures, policies and steps to help organizations achieve these goals. The manager also determines the specific plans of each department, group and individual. ② Organization: in order to achieve the goals, managers have set up a structural system including individuals, groups, departments and branches at all levels. ③ Personnel: the manager determines the manpower needs, including the best methods for recruiting, training, hiring and dismissing employees. ④ Leadership: managers lead, supervise and motivate employees to achieve goals. ⑤ Control: managers establish the necessary standard communication network to ensure that the enterprise is implementing the appropriate plan and approaching the goal

the working mode of ERP production system first is to formulate a practical production plan. In addition to the orders transferred from the sales phase, the user can also directly enter the production plan. If there is an emergency order, the material demand plan can be directly generated and delivered to the production workshop by adding a temporary production plan. Then, the material demand plan is to subdivide the production plan into the production schedule of printing and the purchase schedule of raw materials and purchased parts, and determine the production date and completion date of printing, and the order, purchase and warehousing date of raw materials and purchased parts. Generate workshop orders and purchase requisitions, which are processed by the workshop operation system and the purchase system respectively. Ensure that there is neither shortage nor overstock in the printing production process

3. Logistics management of modern printing enterprises

Logistics Management in printing enterprises refers to the management of various means of production consumed in the production process. Logistics management is the planning, organization and control of the ordering, inventory, consumption and other activities of various materials required in the process of printing production

inventory control is used to control the quantity of stored materials to
