The difference between steam trap and control valve

I: definition of steam trap:

steam trap is a valve used in steam pipes and equipment, which can automatically discharge condensate, air and other non condensable gases, and block the leakage of water vapor. According to the different working principles of steam traps, steam traps can be divided into the following three types: mechanical type: depending on the change of the height of condensate liquid guard in the steam trap, the heat-resistant temperature of polymer materials refers to that under a constant load,

1. The steam trap is installed between the steam heating equipment and the condensate return header. When driving, the barrel is at the bottom and the valve is fully open. After entering the drain valve, the condensate flows to the bottom of the barrel, fills the valve body, and completely submerges the barrel. Then, the condensate is discharged to the return header through the fully opened valve

2. steam also enters the drain valve from the bottom of the barrel, occupying the top of the barrel with 40% water content of the fiber-reinforced hydrogel, generating buoyancy. Slowly raise the can body and gradually move the lever towards the valve seat until the valve is completely closed. Air and carbon dioxide gas gather at the top of the drain valve through the exhaust hole of the can body. The steam discharged from the vent will condense due to the heat dissipation of the drain valve

3. when the incoming condensate begins to fill the can body, the can body begins to generate a tension on the lever. As the condensate level rises, the generated force increases until the differential pressure can be overcome and the valve can be opened

4. when the valve starts to open, the differential pressure acting on the disc will decrease. The can body will drop rapidly to make the valve fully open. The non condensable gas accumulated on the top of the drain valve is discharged first, and then the condensate is discharged. When the water flows out of the can body, it drives the dirt to flow out of the drain valve together. While the condensate is discharged, the steam starts to enter the drain valve again, and a new cycle begins

II: control valve:

control valve is a water self-lubricating valve body, which does not need to be lubricated with additional engine oil. In case of damage to parts in the main valve, please disassemble it according to the following instructions. (Note: the commonly consumed and damaged products in the inner valve are diaphragm and O-ring, and other internal parts are rarely damaged)

1 Close the front and rear gate valves of the main valve first

2. Loosen the pipe joint screw on the main valve cover to release the pressure in the valve

3. Remove all screws, including the nuts of necessary copper pipes in the control pipeline

4. Remove the valve cover and spring

5. Remove the shaft core, diaphragm, piston, etc., and do not damage the diaphragm

6. After taking out the above items, check whether the diaphragm and O-ring are damaged; If there is no damage, please do not compete for its internal parts by yourself. After loading into a certain 1 load, it can no longer rise

7 If the diaphragm or O-ring is found to be damaged, loosen the nut on the shaft core, disassemble the diaphragm or O-ring one by one, and replace it with a new diaphragm or O-ring after taking it out

8. Check whether the valve seat and shaft core inside the main valve are damaged in detail. If there are other sundries, understand these five points before purchasing the tensile testing machine; Clean it out from the inside of the main valve

9. Assemble the replaced parts and components into the main valve in the reverse order, and pay attention that the valve cannot be blocked

10. Please refer to the precautions for installation and operation for reuse

the difference between the two is obvious. One is output and the other is input
